Last weekend involved the final planning and execution of a beautiful yet quaint Bridal Shower.  The setting was a historic home, now turned restaurant.  Lunch was served, presents opened, champagne poured and fun had by all….Here are some pictures if you are looking for simple yet fun ideas.  ENJOY!

So, I had a wedding last weekend and the Bride told me she wanted a candy bar, so my mind started working on gettiing something that went with her theme so that it would be color coordinated.  Well, she had something else in mind.  She wanted something that would stand out and be bright.  So, this is what I came up with.  She, and all the guests, absolutely loved it.  I hope you do too!

This bar was so much fun to create and I was thrilled to see the excitement in everyone’s face as they walked through the door to see it.  The bright colors and mirror background really helped to make it stand out.  From the pictures you can’t tell that we had a spotlight on the bar from the ceiling.  It was a huge success!

A friend of mine introduced me to this website, www.amyatlas.com and I want to share it with you.  I design a lot of candy/dessert bars and happen to be working on one for a wedding in Charleston, SC this coming weekend but check out these tables that Amy has done.  Her designs are beautiful.  I cant wait to post pictures of the “bar” that I am doing for this weekend.  We are steering away from color themes and going crazy with several different ideas.  I will post pictures as soon as I return from my annual trip to Iowa..yes, Iowa.  Its somewhere in the mid-west that I am happy I only visit a few times a year.  Although they do have yummy corn.   That’s an inside joke, sort of!
